Jurassic Park outfit.

I feel like I've not blogged in forever :( which sucks! Don't forget me guys! I absolutely am still blogging, just not as frequently as I was before.
Soo, this is a bit of a random one, but I was shopping the other day and found the most amazing T-shirt which set of my idea for this blog post...

I Love Jurassic Park and it's a film that I have grown up watching. So I thought why not do a inspired outfit post on the film, wearing current trends and making it a street style statement outfit.
I have used recent purchases which I got on my spending spree on Friday at Meadowhall (Yes I went purely for MAC make-up and came out with clothes, shoes, underwear...)

1. I bought this amazing logo T-shirt from Primark for just £6! I love wearing graphic tees with jeans and converse but on this occasion decided to dress it up a little with my new boots.
2. My lovely new boots from River Island for just £38 (I wanted the Jeffrey Campbell ones, so my way of thinking is that I saved myself like £100? Yes that'll do) I love that these are so Rihanna'esque and grunge.
3. MAC in shade 'Lady Danger' which I haven't had before, I'm usually a Ruby Woo girl but thought I'd add a little contrast to the old make-up bag ;)
4. This camo jacket is from Topshop where as mine is from Urban Outfitters (was a sale buy reduced from £95 to £25) bargain! I did buy it quite a while ago so I'm cheating a little ;) but you can grab camo jackets on places such as Ebay, local Army stores and vintage stores around the UK.

My Beautiful statement piece in this outfit post is my new GORGEOUS HANDMADE 'Prissylily Co' sunglasses.

Slytherin into Winter.

"I don't intend to offend, I just offend with my intent"...

I recently ordered these leggings, they came yesterday and I am in Love! I ordered two different house pairs.. You will have to wait and see which is the other pair I purchased :) I'll give you a hint 'Not slytherin'..
Pretty much in Love with them! It's really hard finding a top to wear with them as they are so tight fitting and a lot of the detail and print is higher up the leg. I luckily have this amazing long oversized shirt that I haven't worn in ages! When I bought it, I thought it was a size 8, turns out I was reading the label wrong and it was actually a size 12! Durrrrr, I had already worn in but it worked in my favour, the sizing is great!
I am really into oversized clothing lately, I love layering and my favourite colour (not really a colour I know) is black :) such a goth...

You'll be totally suprised that I have added some colour into my wardrobe by buying these babies! I love the pattern and seen as I love the films, I finally decided to treat myself.. Oops I treat myself too often I think...

So there was recently an article floating around the internet, saying that these leggings are too young for a lot of people and that they are 'babyish'. I just want to say I think this is ridiculous! I mean if you feel good in something wear it, your never too old to dress how you Love and define your personality through the clothes and outfits you wear.
Everybody is of course entitled to their opinions, but I feel that people are too quick to judge others on their appearance.
I say fuck the haters, wear what you Love <3

Leather, nylon and a beanie hat, what a perfect combo for a cold Winters day. I eventually had to crack my scarf out of my Vivienne Westwood bag and admit defeat..

Hat: Ebay.
Shirt: Republic when it existed (oldie but a goodie.)
Leggings: Black Milk Clothing.
Boots: River Island.

I have recently been experimenting with my make-up, today I attempted blending gold tones with a red eye shadow used as liner.
I am hugely into my make up and I get asked quite a lot about it, so thought I would add this to my outfit post for the day :)
My eye shadow is by Illamasqua (I would tell you the shade but it's rubbed off) the red eye shadow I used as liner is called Brick by MAC.
The lipstick is Myth, I love this lipstick but it can make you look very washed out unless you add some colour to your eyes/cheeks.

Happy Tuesday everybody :)

Barf'in Sunday

Today's outfit is inspired by the colour pink and my Nikki Minaj MAC Pink Friday lippy (which is running stupidly low) a lot of people think that this tee says 'Barbie' but it actually says 'Barf' haha! Which I love.
I'm not much of a pink person, but this lippy teamed with this tee is a match made in heaven.
I really should invest in a pink beanie hat, but I love the clash of purples and pinks, so I opted for my purple beanie and iridescent chain.
I am absolutely loving faux fur and pu leather this winter, this skirt matches absolutely everything.
(These boots are my current footwear obsession, such a good buy and they are actually comfy for heels, thank you River Island sale.)
I recently got this tee from one of my favourite shops everrrrr, good old Vulgar <3 got a right cracking wardrobe because of those guys!

Beanie hat: C/O Vulgar.
Lipstick: MAC Pink Friday (Nikki Minaj limited)
Necklace: Topshop.
T shirt: Vulgar.
Skirt: H&M.
Boots: River Island.

Clothes show live outfit.

When I booked my Clothes show Live tickets (weeks before the event) I kept telling myself not to panic about what to wear, something will turn up. I booked the week of the show off of work, in a way to make myself sort through my bedroom and pick a worthy outfit.
I say worthy because It's a big thing! You want to look trendy, yet different and hope nobody else turns up in the same outfit! I rattled my brain for days, I had decided on the skirt, because it was alternative, quirky and I guessed (hoped) nobody else would be wearing it, as it was a limited 48hr piece on the website...

Finally! I went shopping the day before and picked up some amazing tops/jumpers and a pair of shoes I fell in Love with weeks ago but knew I needed in my life for this event.
I got home that night and tried on so many outfits, until boom! I found a winner (victory dance)...

I was after this faux fur collar for ages, but I had no money! Finally, when I got paid I went straight online and bagged one, knowing I would love it with this skirt. I absolutely Love rainbows and bright faux fur. So this was definitely a must have in my wardrobe!
I love the bold colour clash between the skirt and collar, I even bought purple glitter socks and a new MAC lipstick to match!
I didn't really want to wear a basic black top with this skirt, so I found this super cute fluffy jumper which adds just the right amount of contrast :)

I took these snaps the night before I went to Clothes show, just a bit of outfit building and styling I was doing.
I am a sucker for anything with Unicorns on, so when this skirt was released and was a limited piece, I knew I had to be at the ready!
I felt a little bit like a unicorn, with the fluff, rainbow colouring and giant victory roll in my hair! Haha.. oops.

Lipstick: MAC shade Strong Woman -£15.

Faux fur collar: ASOS - £25.

Chunky chain: Freedom @ Topshop - £2.50 (sale)

Fluffy jumper: Primark - £12

Unicorn skater skirt: Blackmilk clothing (Limited 48hr piece)

Glitter socks: Topshop - 3 pairs for £8 0r £3.50 each.

Cut out boots: Topshop - £38.

Hope you like what I was wearing, I got photographed by the Lovely Clothes Line. Which was amazing! But even more amazing was the fact that they picked me as a style Ambassador (another victory dance wahoo) Thanks guys!
Check out what they had to say about my outfit here.

I had a blast at The Clothes Show but picking my outfit was so stressful, here a penalty picture of how I felt the night before:

Hope you enjoyed my outfit and post :) don't forget to check out my posts on Instagram and Twitter (linked in my sidebar) or search @trendofdays.

Sequin season.

Sequin Season is amongst us...

You know how there has always been that old saying 'Red and green should never be seen' well I'm breaking all the rules! I have found an exception, clash, clash, clash, that it what this season is all about. Pushing the boundaries of textures and colours to create a unique Christmas party outfit.
The perfect Christmas dress? I have found it. Both warm, comfortable and adjustable to suit your every needs.
Long sleeves, sparkly sequins and it speaks for itself, the Gabby dress, in iridescent green. (comes in other colours, but this was my fave, mermaid vibes)
I was going to wear it to the work Christmas do, however I was at Clothes show the same day/night so didn't get to test drive it.
Favorited by many fashion bloggers this season including myself, so we can't all be wrong eh?!
You wouldn't have to heavily style this dress, but you know me.. Matching mermaid bag, bright red lips, bright red killer heels to match and my trade mark frilly ankle socks :)

1. Motel Rocks Gabby dress in iridescent green - £58.00.
2. MAC red matte lipstick in shade Ruby Woo - £15.00.
3. Jeffrey Campbell Lita, red distressed heels - £120.00 (selling on various different websites, available in different colours and styles.)

Hope you enjoyed my Christmas party outfit, I have always loved Motel Rocks. If you stuck for what to wear this festive season, you should definitely check them out! Life savers!

Clothes Show Live Haul.

As you all know, because I haven't shut up talking about it I kept mentioning it on my blog and Twitter, I was lucky enough to attend The clothes show live yesterday (Sunday)!
It was my first year at the show, I have always wanted to go but have always been working! So this year I had some time off and convinced my lovely parents to take me to The Birmingham NEC.
Now I have often heard people saying how great the stalls are, but I didn't realise just how cheap they can be, I mean not every stall has discounts but a lot of them have great offers.
I managed to nab myself some UHMAZING items, so thought I would share with you all.
So when you walk into the building, there are staff offering you a goody bag (if you have advanced tickets you will receive these ones inside the main hall free) If not the bags are £8 and you receive an official guide, including map, stall details and times of events. Alongside nail files, a wristband which gets you discounts at certain stalls and some random flyers I picked up through the day haha :)!
A lovely (amazingly dressed) girl was selling these cute tote bags and magazines, which were only £1! I was promised that if I love fashion, photography and style then this was the read for me! (She was right and I will be checking this company out constantly)
Find their website here: Urban Coco. (Top model flyer was put in by myself when I watched the amazing catwalk models live - blog to come).
Here is a cute free tote bag I was given by a stall that my Mum bought a lovely blouse from, they do really nice delicate pieces and timesless clothing that is perfect for everyday wear find them here: Lily.J clothing.
The flyer is something I found mega cute! Two girls were taking pictures of peoples who's style they liked, for a campaign towards promoting people to give high quality clothing and accessories to the charity in aid of pets in crisis.
Find the charity website here: Blue cross.
Please do check out the campaign and sign up, helping a good cause here: The Clothes Line. (Keep an eye out for my picture which was taken, coming soon!)

My Clothes show live purchases/Bargains:
I'll start with my one beauty purchase I got, which was a Barry M goodie bag, I think it was worth something crazy like £50/£60 but they were selling them for £10! WOW, I know right, full of nail varnishes, eye makeup, lipgloss and dazzle dusts. I love their nail polish (currently typing with purple on) so this is perfect for me. I think every single girl that was their had bought one of these, why would you not!?
Thanks Barry M you babes!
One of my all time favourite brands is Freak Of Nature clothing. It is as though this entire range was taken from my mind! Haha, no seriously look how amazing it is. The bone skirt is by 'White noise' which is the sister brand to Freak Of Nature, and designed by the Lovely Vanessa.
So I came across this amazing stall which I spotted had rails full of these two brands, well that was it my purse was out and I was practically crying at the fact there were so many amazing designs I wanted! I tried to limit myself, is four pieces liming myself? Yeahh.. I recently blogged a bodysuit from the brand. Amazing fit and are really quirky and alternative looking.
I got these from the Indigo Cult stall, which I didn't know until later were the lovely ladies who work closely with Freak Of Nature.

Sorry about the rubbish picture :( it's the only one I can find which does not do this dress justice! Bargain of the day goes to this little piece which cost me a whole £3! Faux leather shift dress which I plan on layering heavily this winter :) I got it really big so I could fit items underneath. The dress is by the brand 'Miss Posh'.

I have been after these leggings for a long time, so when I found out that Abandon Ship Apparel, were going to be at Clothes show live, I was adamant on getting these beauties to add to my legging collection. They were being sold for £20 (usual price on the website is £30) which was a nice little saving. I got to have my picture taken with some of the guys and they were really lovely.
How can you not love these leggings... I love cats.. too much.. ehm..

So there you have it, I would definitely recommend going to Clothes show! Great people, great vibes and amazing stalls. I will be doing more blogs on the clothes show, so keep posted :)
