Unexpected layering.

I recently did another photo shoot with the lovely We Could Forever. I Love the surprise I get when I arrive and I have no idea what I'm wearing. I always absolutely Love the outfits that I end up wearing and have to stop myself snapping them all up for my wardrobe collection.
This AW13 I am really into layering, as are this lovely ASOS Boutique.  Not just layering your everyday dress and cardigan, but much more creative. It's all about layering your most unexpected patterns and textures, to create a one off individual look. The best part of this is, when your buying vintage clothing it's usually one off pieces...

Excuse my horrendous roots (the sunshine makes them look worse than they are, urgently dialled my hairdresser after seeing this hehe)
How cute does tartan/plaid and lace look in this outfit styled by the lovely Jodie.
We are both a sucker for a clash of patterns and both fell in Love with this little combo.
Dare to mix up your wardrobe this Autumn/Winter.

Comfy Casuals.

Yay! Photo shoot day today. I woke up this morning expecting the weather to be really rubbish and raining but alas the sun was shining and blah blah blah! The photos look great, which is always good :).
Whenever I am going to a photo shoot I like to dress for the occasion. I also like to wear something that's easy to get in and out of! Haha.. sounds so strange!

Excuse my expression but it was so cold today! Even though the sun was shining.
I rarely wear basic outfits but when I do, I make sure I dress like an 80 year old lady! Haha.. I love a good matching twin set. Cute embroidered detail on this one and it's an original set from the early 90s.
Super cute and warm because it's a thin knit, I teamed it with my vintage ripped up old Levi shorts and I was good to go.
It's only appropriate to match my hair to my outfit (even though it decided to be a nightmare today and fall out every 5 minutes! Argh.)
A huge thank you to Jodie Blackburn Photography and
The lovely ASOS Boutique We Could Forever.

The vintage handmade two piece.

I love vintage and I love the two piece hype that's been in all the high street stores and on the catwalks. Put them together and what do you get? Vintage two pieces..

How cute is this tartan check crop top and matching skirt?! So easy to wear too, plus you don't have to wear them together you can mix and match whenever you like to the occasion you choose. (Here I go again with my new favourite hair style haha!)
The beauty of this two piece is that, it is hand made and you too can own one of these beauties:
(These 6 sets are all for sale)

How cute!? I want them all, one for every day of the week? Nope.. okay I suppose I can't keep them all. They are such pretty colours and patterns though and being vintage are complete one offs.
I think I have about 3 now and every time I wear one, I get complimented of asked where it is from. Such a versatile piece which can be worn in summer or winter, definitely one of my new key statement pieces.
(I wore a jumper with the collar sticking out on one the other day and that looked adorable. It was freezing outside but I was adamant on wearing it haha!)
p.s I am super obsessed with this earring and necklace set at the moment!

Battle Royale Pin Up.

I love pin up hairstyles! So I was brave and decided to attempt this huge victory roll today, I absolutely love it! I feel for sure it's going to be my new favourite do, provided I get up early enough to master it ;)

Okay, so as you might recognise I already have this dress in a cute green and navy tartan already, but at just £15 I couldn't resist this colour too! Eek saw a pink one today too and had to stop myself... Yeah I'll be back for it, my will power for fashion pieces is terrible.
I attempted to hold hands on this picture because I thought I looked like a school girl haha!
This outfit also reminds me of the film 'Battle Royale' it's not at all the same but I just like that it looks kawaii and japanese school girl esque, too cute!
The ankle socks just complete the outfit for me, I love my ankle socks at the moment.
Here I go with my reflection app again! I love it.
Here is my beautiful creepily cool Bride of Frankenstein necklace, cannot stop wearing this at the moment!
Definitely fan girling over this MAC lipstick at the moment too, new favourite.
